Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as an active device?
An active device is any device that sends log data to the uLogger platform within a given month. Devices that don't transmit data are not counted toward your billing.
How does tiered pricing work?
Pricing works like a tax bracket. The first 10 devices are always free. Devices 11–100 are billed at $0.50 each, the next 400 (devices 101–500) at $0.30, the next 2,000 (501–2,500) at $0.20, and devices 2,501–20,000 at $0.15. For example, a fleet of 500 devices costs (90 × $0.50) + (400 × $0.30) = $165/mo.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my tier?
Yes, you can change your tier at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, all self-serve tiers include a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required to start.
What happens when my fleet crosses a tier boundary?
You'll be notified as you approach a boundary. The additional devices beyond the threshold automatically move to the lower bracket rate — devices already billed in earlier brackets stay at their rate. For fleets over 20,000 devices, contact us for a custom Enterprise quote.
